BELIEVE IT OR NOT, but on Halloween (my favourite time of the year, because it's the only time I am legally allowed to frighten kids), Instead of being dressed in my usual black Goth clothes, I wore Pink!  WHY? Because it was 'DARE TO WEAR PINK DAY' In aid of 'Breast Cancer'. To make matters worse we had to go directly to 'Hertford CC' after work to do a lecture and I didn't have time to change. So still in pink we stopped for a drink once we were there, only to find everyone, except me, dressed in black or in Halloween outfits. Never again will I go pink on Halloween!  (Apart from the hair of course.)

WOW!  The London Tattoo convention was made awesome by 'Dilana'.  Probably the best live rock performer I've ever seen.  Runner-up of the US version of our Pop Idol  'Rock Star Supernova'. Not only is she talented and beautiful, but she's also a down-to-earth, nice lady too. Dilana ROX!

We found Betty up to no good with the baby when we returned from our weekend away. I think Lucretia has had a hand in this.

The face that caused such offence recently down in Aylesford, or rather the T-shirt did.  Our motives  for taking photographs were challenged all because of this item of clothing. We were in a Friary at the time admittedly, but all the same!

led by Barbie & Russ at Christchurch Park, Ipswich on 05/07/08 . Showing 7 enthusiatic ladies all aspects of photography. From Close-up work to portraiture. How to compose images, preventing camera shake and getting the correct exposures in difficult lighting situations are just some of items covered during the day.

Rusty bought a dog kennel for the cats and painted it black. It's called the Crypt! He couldn't afford a summer house this year so has got the cats one instead.

Now about me!

I am a little  unconventional.

I'm a photographic obsessive. My whole life revolves around photography. I love every aspect, whether it be taking photographs or looking at other people's images and analysing  the content. On a personal level, to work on, print and then to see the final mounted print is sheer magic.

I found my last project of 'People with Character' a lot more  enjoyable and less stressful than my current  'Suffolk Moths' project. Some of  these images however, have been deemed to be too controversial by some narrow minded bigots, (not the moths) but I feel that true photographers should embrace all aspects of photography and not judge images on whether they would look good hanging on their living room walls. Not every image should be a pretty picture, but instead should convey a message or evoke a reaction from the viewer.

Another of my favorite subjects is 'Humour'. Humorous pictures have been playing 2nd fiddle for far too long within the art world, not just in photography but in every  art form.  Personally, I think this is a great shame, as quite often it's the humorous pictures that have a far more lasting impact upon the viewer than almost any other image.
